There's a stone outside Dan Murphy's Door

There's a sweet garden spot in our mem'ry
It's the place we were born in and reared
‘Tis long years ago since we left it
But return there we will if we're spared
Our friends and com-pan-ions of childhood
Would as-sem-ble each night near the store
Round Dan Murphy's shop oh how oft-n we've sat
On the stone that stood outside his door*

Pretty as a pictureand a lovely way to snazzify an abandoned house. Someone has been working hard to beautify this slightly run down part of Kenmare for the old stables had also been attractively painted.
Yes, we've been across the border into County Kerry and dodged the showers in Kenmare. We visited the stone circle in the middle of town, (authentic and large but very manicured), paid homage to two wells (one being cleaned in preparation for Mass in a few days with rather suspicious smells of bleach) and did a bit of retail therapy - bargains to be had in Fat Face! Far too much excitement.

*Thank you Sunflower for the thought, this fits perfectly.  This is for you!
