Homer?

Many thanks for your responses to yesterday’s butterfly.

As we set off on our daily dog walk we met this pigeon on the road in front of our house. It was clearly not one of the local feral flock as it was ringed. My best guess is it is a homing pigeon who touched down either because it was lost or exhausted.

I managed to usher it onto the pavement to avoid being run over. On our return it was still there. Richard managed to get it to fly up onto a roof out of harms way.

Just managed to prune a Wisteria which has encroached over our wall and was threatening to disrupt some roof tiles on our neighbours garage. Just as I came down the steps the rain arrived. Time for refreshments to be taken!
