Checking the grain

This is where the grain ends up on our farm before it is sold.  T is just checking to see if the grain feels damp as we had to put a couple of loads through the dryer.  We do have a grain moisture reader but this felt all right by touch.  The wheat yields so far are good this harvest.  This mound has been tested for milling but it failed - like everyone else's this harvest so far.   It will be sold and made into animal feed - chickens probably!
