We had a camera club outing yesterday, though there were only the two of us on it. As we drove towards our venue, we could see the sky developing in several interesting directions simultaneously. The weather forecast had been appalling which suggested we might get alternative versions of the routine photographs and the timing had been intended to coincide with both the high tide and sunset. We weren’t disappointed; when we arrived the tide was in and there was a little colour in the sky that heightened a smidgeon - as the magic hour approached - to the extent that the pink glow was almost visible to the naked eye.
As we left, the torrential downpour started so, for once, the forecast was right.
