There was a theory, amongst the rest of the family, that the main reason we won the pub quiz was because Emily kept me distracted at the end of the table. However, my winning contribution was the fact that that I knew the key ingredient in Borscht.

After our victory parade we polished off the chilli. And most of the whisky. And the charades took a few esoteric turns.
