A Meandering Life...

One Man's Waste is...

I remember when...

A rag and bone man would pass our house with a horse and cart. If you were lucky the horse would leave something to be recycled on the roses.

I remember when...

Milk came in glass bottles and the silver tops were saved for charity.

I remember when...

Scrap metal went to the scrappy and you got a few bob for it and it was melted down to make another home appliance or car.

I remember when...

Old clothes were recycled to the next sibling. I was that sibling.

I remember when...

We only had one dustbin and it was never full when it was collected.

Am I really of the generation who has wasted so much..?
