Ice cold and quiet

Brrrr it's cold out there today. Low of 1 degree predicted tonight as well. Which means a bit too cold for a 5:30 AM run. Drat, will have to sleep a little extra and sip a leisurely hot coffee tomorrow morning instead.
Kids are back in school plus holidays are behind us. Pine needles have been mostly swept from the floor though we're still only on the eighth day of Christmas. I'm writing a bit here and there, even posted on my website for the first time since April. So that's something.
Maybe a little stillness, like that icy blue Maine water, is making space for creativity.
