OLE BLUE EYES

His Imperial Majesty, an Emperor dragonfly which has apparently been fighting quite hard to defend his territory, if the state of his wings are anything to go by.

A happy couple of hours at the RSPB reserve which included lots of butterflies, quite a few terns and chips for lunch (which don't count if nobody knows about them, so don't let on...)

Edit: I've just noticed a blue damselfly paying court near the bottom left hand corner. There were a lot of them about.
