Bang crash wallop

A busy day at work....introductory meeting with a visiting family and then a new colleague, supervision, rather sad chat with a colleague whose marriage is in trouble, and finally a HoCs meeting and shortlisting.
At least the weather improved after a damp start so the streets are filling up with people who’ve had time to dry out after yesterday!
Home for supper with Sa before going to see a two part concert....’Glorious Percussion’ followed by Peer Gynt.  Can’t remember why but I’d bought tickets literally on the front row (captured by Marchmont), so we were directly in line for acoustic shock from huge bass drums and gongs and it was interesting seeing how versatile the percussionists are, darting between various instruments and improvising long stretches of the piece. Walked home (step count very healthy this last week!) chatting about the concert, So’s plans and hopes and city living before some tea and chocolate then bed.
