Work was a bit frantic as we had a very important visitor, who in the end had a very quick walk around without speaking to any of the lowly staff.
Straight in to the care home to see Jeanie, who needed a lot of reassurance today, and wanted to hold hands most of the afternoon. “Peas harper bee low” and “Home” were her words today, but if I can get her to focus and give her short clear questions she will nod an answer. She was hungry and ate most of the cake, but seems to offer me some too.
She stares very intently today, trying to work me out, so I just try to keep up gentle calming chatter. Occasionally the cake and tea gets spitted back out.
We managed to stay in the garden, taking shelter when the rain blew in, but it blew out again very quickly.
