Reaping the benefit

From 2014 till 2018 the town centre park was proud to host Heroes’ Walk every summer, small beds planted with wild flowers in memory of townspeople killed in the Great War.
They’re not there anymore as the centenaries have passed, but happily some of the flowers have self-seeded this year, like these thistles being put to good use by this little bumblebee.
