Directing Traffic

This young man is directing the steam engine through the points he's just changed. He seemed to be very busy in the cab of the engine and uncoupling the engine, as well as working the points. This is on the mid-Norfolk railway which runs from Dereham to Wymondham. Each year for our birthdays, G, M and I go on an 'experience' (generally later in the year as we all have Winter birthdays). This year it was to have High Tea on the mid-Norfolk steam railway which was lovely (although we all preferred the local Poppy Line for scenery and rolling stock). At Wymondham we visited the abbey which was beautiful and really interesting, I've attached a photo of the gilded altar screen as an Extra as well as a better view of the steam engine. I wonder what we'll do next year?

I hope you've all survived the strong winds we've had today, the rain and power cuts that lots of areas had yesterday. Who'd have thought it was August!
