A different perspective

The other day I blipped Haymarket with the spires of St Mary’s in the background.

Today, before the anticipated rain, I took the 2 dogs up Blackford Hill. Lovely morning with people enjoying the views as in the blip, again with the spires.

The anticipated rain did not arrive until 5pm so a good day catching up in the garden- and realising that I should have put on sunscreen! But it was going to rain, so I didn’t bother.

Late afternoon/Evening visiting the aunt’s for mail etc; then the aunt in hospital; then North Berwick to check on mother’s flat.

On the way back the thunder cloud over Edinburgh - see extra - was threatening. The drive back up the A1 was astonished no with the volume of water cascading from the skies. It was like driving through a river, lightening flashing all around! Cars slowing down to 40mph as wipers could barely cope.

When I arrived at Last Breton, the ground was dry, but some dramatic flashes of lightning over the castle and Arthur’s Seat. As ever, felt sorry for those at the Tattoo!
