Wrong Tools

OK, we've all been there. 

You go out and buy a new lens/camera combination (intended for landscape work, so short rather than long lens) - and the next day you head out to experiment with the new kit.  And of course that's all you take with you, because you're just experimenting.

Then you find yourself sitting in the sunshine watching a beautiful kingfisher on the local river - and it's not just flying past at high speed, but repeatedly diving from its perch to bring back fish.

This is about as far as I felt I could crop the image.
