Mopping up

We have arrived back home - only to be greeted by a downpour of biblical proportions.   The garage flooded to a depth of about 2 inches which hasn't happened for many years.

I should have taken a photo when it was at its worst but this one after mopping up will have to do.   The manhole cover at the bottom right came to the rescue and we opened it up to let most of the water escape.

We had a good few days away with 'interesting' weather.  As we had no mains electric hookup we had to eke out the power and the battery did die on us last night.  I have just watched the film 'Apollo 13' and it was remarkably similar to their power problems ;-)
