Bankfield Museum

Tucked away in the back streets of Halifax lies this little gem of a museum.
The building was originally Colonel Edward Ackroyd's house funded by his woollen factories and sold to the local council shortly before his death as the business collapsed.
There's a regimental museum and a number of textile galleries it holds all the costumes from 'Gentleman Jack', but these are older genuine pieces.
