Raindrops keep falling!

A dry drive into Edinburgh early morning to collect my visitors Mum & student daughter from California, we tootled out of Edinburgh over the Firth of Forth to North Queensferry to view the bridges crossing the Firth of Forth! The daughter is studying engineering & was impressed by the 19thc Forth Bridge as everyone who sees it is!
Continued along the Fife Coast & arrived in St Andrews just as the rain started!
The Lammas fair is in full swing this weekend however it’s been very soggy for them ! It’s an old festival celebrating the start of the harvest, we had a good walk around exploring, in and out of buildings, the St Andrews Museum is a delight to visit featuring social history & a wee gem of a garden beautifully kept, there’s an outside loo ( privy) with a double seat!!! Hmmmm! Chummy! After I left my visitors at their hotel I walked along the deserted South Street closed for the Fair to the famous Janetta’s ice cream parlour ( rude not to have a 99!) the rain was relentless I liked the lady sheltering in the doorway!
Tomorrow forecast is brighter!
A grand wet day!
