Whale's Tale?

We took a Catamaran Adventure today. The coastline of Costa Rica is very fascinating and beautiful. We saw a mother and baby Humpback Whales frolicking in the protected area near shore......still 80 feet depth. They rolled and I got this photo of one side of the tail; it looks like a design was created on it, but it can't be, can it?( I looked up ID by whale's tail and it seems each is different and used for ID of individual Humpback whales) See the first extra for the full back of the tail and the second extra is a pelican near the rocky shore. Third extra is our daughter talking to her son; I love the interaction between her and her children.

We had the personal chef for the third time tonight; he made another amazing meal......tuna tartar, seared sesame tuna, snook fish with a sauce to die for, salad, fried rice, broccoli and an apple/mango tart with ice cream for dessert. We got the bill for the three dinners he prepared tonight and it was less than we would have paid if we would have gone out to dinner AND much more pleasant eating in the comfort of our deck overlooking the ocean.  We are feeling like we are part of the "rich and famous" crowd.......but we are so NOT a part of that lifestyle.....we are simple people who have been blessed with opportunities beyond out wildest dreams.  The most valuable part of this trip is the time with our grandchildren; they are all off on adventures of their own when we return to Portland: colleges in California, Idaho and Oregon and a new job for one of them. Time is flying so quickly.....grandchildren have grown up so quickly.....but it is all good.
