Lens Test

Our last day in Denver before heading to California found us mostly around the house. That gave me the opportunity to test my 70-200 lens. I have been noticing focusing issues in the last couple batches of volleyball photos. As this lens is my primary tool for capturing action shots, I have become a bit concerned I won't be able to do a good job during my SOB duties. The lens can produce sharp images as is evident in the right hand shot above (shot with live view), but it does seem to be off a little bit when used with camera's autofocus system (left hand image). A trip to the  Canon service center may be in order.
