Cail Bruich

Took my mum to Cail Bruich in Glasgow’s west end to celebrate her birthday. The 8 course tasting menu with wine pairing and cheese. Absolutely superb afternoon of food, family and a great time was had by all. Every dish was amazing but the blue cheese with clootie dumpling was a particular highlight. Unusual by brilliant.

For non Scots, a clootie dumpling is a steamed fruit dumpling/pudding traditionally wrapped in a cloth (cloot) or tea towel and boiled in a large pan of boiling water and then dried out in an oven. It’s delicious.
