Celebration of an Unique Life

Attended P from church' funeral today.  
Everybody who met him intuitively knew that he is in a class of his own. Knew that his local knowledge and life experience is a treasure trove of good stories and lots of laughs. 
He will be missed by all who knew him and the groups he was part off are left with a vacuum, from the church to the British Legion to the mothers' union to the ladies' rowing club.
But I suspect all of us will only come to realise over the next few months how big that P shaped hole is.
