One Step at a Time

I love walking in the woods there is something special about walking among trees especially large trees with their huge branches reaching out to touch each other. Sometimes I am lucky enough to spot a squirrel before it disappears quickly into the high branches. Today the forest floor was carpeted in brown leaves and these steps lead to another route among the many species growing here. As I was about to press the shutter the sun managed to peek through the dense growth and cast it's winter rays upon the trunk and leaves of a large tree on the higher ground just making them stand out that little bit more so I could show you all that the sun does shine.
