A photo for everyday

Hello dad

On my way back up north, we called in to my home town Chipping Norton. A call to the cemetery to say hello to my dad.
It’s weird I can still remember standing next his grave as a 10 year old. A very wet dreary December morning, throwing a rose onto his coffin. It takes my breath away.
Ironically my stepdad is buried 2 rows back from Dad. Said hello to Alan and showed him his beautiful niece.
The visit made me sad, sad that I never was able to have children, that when I’m gone there’s no legacy of a generation carrying on my genes.
