Brown Argus

No blip yesterday as it was my mother-in-law's funeral.I travelled home today. Stopping en route to walk the spaniel I was pleased to see one of my favourite butterflies, the diminutive Brown Argus with its glowing orange lunules. The Brown Argus can be difficult to distinguish from the female Common Blue. The trick is to look for the colon shaped marking about halfway along the edge of the hindwing.
