But, then again . . . . .

Three Pints Short of a Pub-Crawl.

Drizzly weather again, but still, I went out to collect this blip and was not distracted. I had eyed this one up on New Year's Day before meeting the veteran cycle, it has a Northern aspect so wouldn't have benefited from the sun on that day.

There's no story to go with today's blip so I'm sure that you would all (or should that be "both of you"?) like to know what's happening in the TD household. The Old Lady is listening to her talking book though a lot of the time she's fast asleep (and vehemently denying it), it's all about the Medicis. I was intrigued to hear about a military member of the family having to inspect the rather large army on a hot summer day in a Roman square, this was while wearing full military regalia; apparently he couldn't sit still on his mount as he suffered from severely ulcerated piles; the officers nearby suffered a milder discomfort owing the aroma given off by the said ulcers.
Later, while we were partaking of what the French call "le five-o'clock", the story had moved on the unpleasant things the physicians were doing (involving cow dung and powdered rhino horn) to the unfortunately barren Catherine de Medici in a forlorn attempt to induce her to conceive.
The normally dour reader keeps breaking out into inappropriate giggles during this normally dour story.
I thought you might like to know that
