Turnstone eating crab

You normally see these little birds hunting bugs on the beach in the seaweed or (unsurprisingly) under stones but this one had found a more substantial meal on the slip at Kirkwall boatyard.

Appointments at the dentist in both morning and afternoon meant that I couldn't go far but I was just glad to be seen.
