Battle on Da Street

It's been raining all day, heavy at times.  Been really windy, touching gale force.  Stopped raining for an hour or so tonight, calmer now but raining again.

With the wet day, it's been a really busy day in the museum.  There was a cruise ship in Lerwick, but this time an odd one.  The passengers have been taken part in the Euro Hash.  As far as I know, they've been drinking and running from pub to pub across Shetland.  I managed a good walk with Sammy this evening, and then mam and dad popped by.  Feet up now.

I was heading in over da Street this morning, and a few folk out in the rain.  I noticed there's a local battle going, between to local MPs, Lib Dem Beatrice Wishart on the left, and SNP Tom Wills on the right.  The local election is a couple of weeks away, and both wanting to win.  Shetland has always been Lib Dem, but the SNP may win it this time round.  I'm still undecided, but won't be voting any of these two this year!  Taken on Commercial Street, Lerwick.
