Discarded garden chair

I dont know why we keep this old wicker chair . It has a broken leg and plants are growing through the seat. An old broken china duck is its only occupant.

This is my contribution to Admirers Silly Saturday challenge. Thanks for her determination in keeping us on our toes.

Its been an interesting day. We have been watching flypasts from the Biggin Hill Air Show from our garden. Among other planes we have seen a very low flying Lancaster Bomber , a Spitfire and a Hurricane.

Ian collected eight rescued hens from the rescue charity. The extras show then in their carry cages before we released them into their new house, and field. They are from an organic, free range farm in Bath, and I was shocked to see how sparse some of their feathers were and how pale their combs. They resembled more of a caged bird than a free ranger.

Once freed into their house, two brave girls came outside and explored their new environment. Two cockerals showed great interest in them and performed a mating dance. The girls were not impressed and quickly put paid to their amorous intentions.

They are settling in well and one has already laid an egg. At least its dry and sunny today.
