In search of Ceps

Ceps, Porcini, Penny Bun - whatever you want to call them, we're always on the lookout when we go walking. Today had the specific intention of trying to find some mushrooms, but we hadn't expected the Cep glut that we stumbled upon at one of our regular spots. Appears conditions have just been perfect for a fruiting. We've never before been able to be so choosy, and left far more than we took (which was about 2 kilos in total).

Going into a mezze dinner tonight, and breakfast with some scrambled egg and bacon tomorrow is already a given. Mel's even dried some out for storing. The whole haul in the extras (a couple were a little maggoty in the end and had to go, but the grand majority were perfect), and some Fly Agarics for good measure (they're a good indicator that Ceps may be nearby).

Final extra is a shot of some butterfly eggs on one of the cords on the gazebo in the garden. Looks like something out of Alien close-up.

The thing almost all the shots demonstrate is.... I have a new flashgun setup, with some great remote triggers, and I've been having some fun with it...
