On the blink

The old streetlamp outside has been on the blink for a while but we're loathe to report it.  Last time they replaced the head with a 'new type' that looks horrid and didn't last as long as the old one: next time we suspect they might well replace the whole thing, and it'd be rather a shame to lose it.
