Lincoln City Orienteering Race

A trip to Lincoln today for an Urban Orienteering race. We opted to start early to try and avoid the crowds. It was still busy as we set off but unfortunately part way round the heavens opened with a series of very heavy showers. At least it ensured we showered as we ran...only the soap was missing.

Fortunately it passed over and allowed for a wander with the camera. The cathedral is a significant place for Richard and our family. This was where Richard’s adopted parents decided to adopt him at six months. His father was a Canadian airforce pilots and his Mum worked in the NAFFI. His father was not permitted to marry his Mum and returned home to Canada after the war.

The extra is one of my controls today. Looks a lot better in the sunshine.
