A quiet spot

Our road trip to North Wales to scale Snowdon via train was pretty straightforward until we hit the local single track road where an off road vehicle would have been a bonus. A hairpin bend up a hill and a mile or two hoping we met no other cars coming the opposite way and we found our cottage. The owner was waiting for us and showed us in. She had left a very thoughtful welcome pack which was appreciated as we were desperate for a cuppa.

The cottage was beautiful, we both said we could live there. EXCEPT for the graveyard right next door. Yes the neighbours were quiet but this was not mentioned in the marketing material and to be honest gave us the willies a bit.

But it was fine. It was quiet and a change of scenery and I had some time to think for the first time in ages.

Excited about our train trip tomorrow, I can't believe a steam train climbs Snowdon!
