Scottish Rain Forest

Earlier today (now Monday) I posted a backblip of Saturday's run and the amazing place we went to, today is another backblip of another fantastic place.
Neither of us slept well post race - too much adrenaline, food and celebratory wine - so didn't hurry to breakfast. That took longer than just eating as there were other runners with whom to discuss the race!
Once checked out we headed along to Inverewe Gardens for a leg-loosening wander and some photography and then decidded to take the longer route back to Garve and stop at Corrieshalloch Gorge and the Falls of Mesach. This is the sight that met us as we went onto the suspension bridge over the falls,a few minutes later and we would have missed it.
We did go along to the observation platform to see the actual falls and managed not to get too wet in the intermittant showers.
Then headed home and managed to find some food at a burger van that isn't normally open on a Sunday, the 2 previous places that should have been open weren't.
Some tremendous rain (and some stupid driving) over Drumochter and got home about 5.30p.m. An excellent weekend
