No more bread

After a decade and more of sterling service, the breadmaker has been ailing. Investigating why reveals a chunk of the paddle has eroded away - probably giving us all a bit of iron in the process.

Close-ups are tricky with my camera, but there's a nibble-sized bit taken out where the spindle meets the paddle.

Along with a frayed fan belt thing and general delapidation (I can empathise), it takes a lot of coaxing, manual stirring and support to get the thing to work each time. So it's time for the good old yeast grinder to be pensioned off...
