Across the Forth

I got the train to Kinghorn today to stay with my oldest friend.

I visited her husband for the first time since he went to his care home and we took him out for lunch. It is sad to see him so diminished with dementia, but though he wouldn’t know me, we had a laugh and the cheeky beggar did a bit of flirting. I was happy to see how caring the staff were, and they do seem to have a good relationship with him.

Jenny and I got back and had a short walk along the coastal path from where I took this blip (with her phone as I’d left mine in the house) across the Firth of Forth towards Arthur’s Seat and Salisbury Crags in Edinburgh.

We are going to chill out tonight before the book festival tomorrow.
