Chantry Bridge

We did the recce for a walk I am going to lead in September. It is a walk around the land surrounding Colyton, the most rebellious town in Devon. This bridge takes it’s name from a chantry chapel that used to stand near it. We had a problem with a herd of milking cows today. They were blocking the way to our exit which we couldn’t see as they were all crowding round. We also had to climb a gate as it was locked.
