Tonight’s creation

Evening meal courtesy of vegetables from the allotment and haddock from the Arbroath fishman.
Harvested from allotment: beetroot, tomatoes, carrots, onion, French and runner beans, baby corn, courgettes, baby squash, fennel and parsley.
Wednesday is day when fish from Arbroath is sold in Bridge of Allan. Fish merchant from there goes round the Village in a van. My neighbour gets my order for me as I’m at the Fit4Life class at the Peak when he is gets to our street. At about £4:00 for 2 small to medium sized haddock it’s not cheap but it’s fresh fish that has not been frozen and has taste and texture incomparably superior to that available from supermarkets or frozen food chains.
