A different landscape

Hi everybody! We've finally come in from the deserts...first the Kalahari, then the Namib...the oldest in the world. We have seen amazing landscapes like yesterday and today's which is mica and quartz. The quartz is the white bits. These landscapes are vast, in some cases millions of years old and change so suddenly from one to another.

We were warned about the roads we would be travelling on...our tour manager, Carlos says we drive on the good, the bad and the ugly...and he is right. 8 hours driving on mainly the bad and the ugly almost redistributes your bones! But we've had fun. Mainly South African and German tourists here with a few from other countries. Very few Brits.

We have stayed at some super places, food excellent but WiFi rubbish. Not surprising though. So thrilled to have two nights in Swakopmund which is a delightful town on the coast with a pier and lots of fish restaurants and good wifi.!! It feels a bit American.

See extra....what do you think it is?

Anyway hope to catch up a bit now with blip family, friends and followers.
