La vida de Annie

Bistro Noir.

A trip to Lark Lane with best friend Sara today, to put the world to rights over a lovely lunch at Bistro Noir, whose eclectic decor took me straight back to student days, when it was de rigueur to have at least one empty wine bottle festooned with melted candle wax of various colours, a lava lamp and vibrant throws and cushions featuring embroidery and little mirrors and sequins. The nostalgic experience continued with a look round some little shops selling quirky items mostly for tourists, lots of tie-dye and handmade crafty stuff, incense and buddhist and Indian impedimenta. I resisted buying yet another Buddha statue or chakra throw, but did find a pretty item for #1D's birthday next month, not identified here as she will probably read this.
When life ramps up the stress levels, the antidote is spending time with a special friend. A good day.
