Sunshine through the trees.

We walked down through Spinkie Den to the town and had a soup and sandwich lunch at “Cafe in the Park,” in the Museum. It’s too long since we’ve been here, I’d forgotten how good their lentil soup is. This is a nice walk into town, however the first part has some tricky, narrow and sloping paths; care is required, and the tree roots are slippery when damp. Part of the route comprises old railway track and embankment sections, other bits are simple paths alongside the burn. It was a lovely warm afternoon for our walk back. We didn’t do much this afternoon, it was nice sitting outside, reading and enjoying the weather. We’d one or two good news phone calls also.
