United in Diversity

Sushi and I arrived in Budapest this evening after a rather complicated journey here. It took forever to get to the airport due to local traffic issues, a rather nasty accident on the A64 and LeedsFest, but we made it just in time. On the plane, as we sat down the man next to me looked rather agitated and after a few minutes he got up and went to the front to talk to the stewards. Next thing, they opened the door and he got off the plane. As a result we were delayed slightly as they checked all the remaining bags belonged to someone and he hadn’t left anything...it was a strange scenario indeed.

But we arrived safely in the end to be met by the very lovely apartment owner, Melinda, who drove us to where we are staying. The apartment is super and in the kitchen is this blackboard that has been added to by various visitors over the years, it’s really lovely to see where people have travelled from and at the top someone has written “United in Diversity”...such a lovely truth.
