Pigeon

We get a few wood pigeons coming into the garden regularly.  Ann calls each one Woody regardless of individuality, or gender.  

Recently we started having another visitor.  This is also a pigeon, but not of the Woody type.  He/She's a fine looking bird with some really nice colouring, also I only just noticed as I was developing the photo, it has a green ring on its leg. 

It is the only non-wood pigeon to come visiting so I'm not sure if it has just got lost, or looking for a kindred spirit.  She certainly enjoys the seed I put out in the tray.

I realise that if you live in the town or city you see these pigeons aplenty, but I enjoy seeing our single pigeon visitor amongst the Woodys.
