This morning we went on a tour of the new Cambridge Central Mosque. It is the first eco-mosque in Europe and and very beautiful as well as environmentally sound. I was particularly taken by how inclusive the mosque is; all branches of Islam are welcome to worship and the public are also welcome to drop in at any time. They have a garden at the front (usually they are in the middle of the mosque) and a cafe to encourage the public to come in and enjoy the mosque.
The mosque isn't quite finished; there are some decorative works still to be installed, so I will definitely go back again to see it in its full glory.
Afterwards, we went to the Apple Store as my 3 year old iPhone had been behaving strangely. Initially upset to find that it had the equivalent of a terminal brain tumour, I was delighted when agreed to replace it free of charge with a new phone!
