Day 4 Labin to Cres.

We had breakfast in the apartment- quickly getting into routine. Then set for 35 miles with a ferry half way. Croatian hills go on a long way! We started with a 3 mile climb and a 3 mile decent before the ferry. Then an epic 6 mile 440m climb for 6 miles after the ferry in nice melting midday sun. Actually it wasn’t too bad. I just kept going and stopping Avery now and agin to take pictures.

The 7 mile downhill to Cres was brilliant. Cres island is very rugged and pretty.
Cres town is a beautiful little harbour town. We had a wonder round the town, decided to cook for ourselves which meant an trip to the air conditioned supermarket to pick up supplies. Cheese and olive stuffed tortellini with asparagus sautéed in garlic butter with a fres tomato and mozzarella salad, with lemon wedges. Not bad at all!
We swam in the sea then back to cook tea and sit in the garden of another beautiful little apartment. Time for an evening stroll and a beer soon.
