Sizzling August

Such a beautiful day. Clear blue sky and brilliant sunshine, just lovely. It has been the hottest August Bank Holiday weekend temperature ever recorded, at 31.7 C or 88.7 F. That was at Heathrow. Here in north Kent we saw a temperature of 30 C or 86 F. Nice.
Good to seek out a bit of evening cool, though, and our village pond is looking inviting as a beautiful oasis.
