The Buddleias in the station yard at Tywyn Wharf have thronged with Painted Ladies over the last few days. Easy meat for a lazy blipper!

Another good day in the booking office for Jamie and a varied day for me. Mass this morning was a celebration of the 50 years since St David’s opened with a poignancy added as it was also in memory of Fr Charles Lloyd who was parish priest for much of that time. He died on Friday. One of my earliest memories is if seeing him up a ladder repairing a leak near the top of the wooden spire at the centre of the building!

After an excellent buffet lunch in the church I headed off to Abergynolwyn to help with the end of day cashing up and cleaning in the cafe. Jamie and I will end the day with the fireworks display on Tywyn seafront just a few hundred yards from camp
