Far too hot today. 

23 degrees C would be far more agreeable.

I have tried to enjoy the great outdoors but have sort respite. It has made me quite dozy.

The sunflowers went through an ordeal yesterday; cut down, thrown on to a trailer, piled up in the yard and then threaded into a display. 

I took a bunch home and they have rallied in a vase of water.

In the evening  we sat amongst the flying bats and, now alight, solar strings in the garden. It was quite magical.

Hopeful of a cooler day tomorrow. We have plans.
