Luxury ghetto

A little bit of photoshoppery involved here but only because there was a wire fence in the way

The "retirement village" has been a real bone of contention in our village for years.   The planners totally ignored the views of the residents that this was not the right place for a retirement ghetto village.   Even when the developers lost a planning appeal it didn't stop them and in the end their pockets were deeper than the council's.

There is a bit of local schadenfreude as they can't sell the houses because there is no local need and It's the wrong place for it.


Their latest desperate ploy is to pull out an ancient hedgerow (where were you Stratford District Council?) and create allotments in its place.   This row of huts has appeared for the allotment holders - hideous!
