tempus fugit

Hot sounds

A baking afternoon for the finale of the Fishguard Jazz Festival with a parade through the streets and a last performance in the scruffy yard behind the market hall. Stalls selling food, drink and crafty stuff took up the rest of the space.

The walk into town along the coast was accompanied by  drifts of butterflies: it has been uplifting to see them in such numbers this summer although the rising temperatures may be partly responsible.

An ice cream was required to fuel the return journey.

Later, Friday's haul of oyster mushrooms became a delicious gratin, combined with onion, bacon, cheese and cream, all of which ingredients I already had so nothing new needed to be bought. Quite pleased with that. (Extra)
