Beautiful pollution ..

I finally escaped from the house this afternoon and headed off to Sunk Island/Stoney Creek.

Last time I went it was heaving with all sorts of birds, newly arrived for the winter - waxwings, redwings and field fares.

There was very little to be seen today - a couple of barn owls and a short eared owl were my highlights.

When I arrived at Stoney Creek the tide was out - but the sunset looking across the river to Immingham was beautiful.
